DARK WITCH was founded as a quartet in the year 1999, in the city of Santos, SP, Brazil – still they had to wait until now, by mid 2015, to have their debut full-length released, and it's not one to disappoint! But let's rewind it a little...

The band was created with the intention of crafting a strong heavy metal, yet with melodious lyrics and themes which address occultism, mythology and history, building analogies to current topics. Drawing influence from heavy metal legends like Grave Digger, Iced Earth, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest and other groups from the 70s and 80s, a vigorous sound was born in the form of a selftitled demo, released in 2001, and which led the band to play in distinct places of Brazil.

In 2004, with a fifth member, DARK WITCH released the widely publicized "Heavy Metal Burns On" demo, further expanding its territory, but soon after this some musicians departed, leaving singer/bassist Bil Martins all by himself.

Between 2006 and 2009 new warriors André Kreidel (D), Cesar Antunha (G) and Decio Andolini (G) were recruited and the band started working on new material. Meanwhile, Bil gained experience recording an album with Hellish War, with whom he was able to tour Europe, and found his name included in lists of best singers of 2013 in different press publications in Brazil.

By the end of 2014 the full-length album "The Circle of Blood" is concluded and recorded, and in early 2015 DARK WITCH is invited to join a tribute to HARPPIA. The song "Voz da Consciência" is recorded and added to the band's tracklist.

Finally, DARK WITCH signs with Heart Of Steel Records for the digital release and with ARTHORIUM RECORDS for the physical release of its so much waited debut, "The Circle of Blood", and one can expect no less than a long, loud and exciting avalanche of riffs and a true demonstration of epic heavy metal.
